Check snowboard, boot and binding interfaces before ordering
Compare the real 2027 Cartel Re:Flex and Cartel EST interfaces before ordering. The board, binding version, boot and required accessories each need their own identity.

The Cartel name does not settle the interface
Burton's 2027 Cartel Re:Flex, model 105391, and Cartel EST, model 105551, are real alternatives with a decision-changing distinction: Re:Flex uses a disc-based mounting format, while EST works exclusively with boards using The Channel. Do not order by the Cartel family name alone. The manufacturer's Australian pages were checked on 28 October 2026. Their shared name and several shared feature descriptions do not make the baseplates interchangeable. The 2008 strap-binding photograph here shows physical straps, highback and disc context; it is not either current Cartel model. Start with your actual board's documented interface and the exact binding version, then confirm required parts through the applicable documentation or a qualified retailer.

Compare the actual versions and the excluded accessory
The Re:Flex product page specifically states that a3D Hinge Disc is required for 3Dsystems and is not included. That distinction matters for an older board: a broad compatibility phrase is not a complete box-contents list or a price for the needed accessory. Cartel EST is the Channel-only option, so it is unsuitable for a4X2 board if you require that interface. For a concrete board comparison already documented on this site, Salomon CRAFT L49292100 lists4X2 inserts, whereas 2026 Burton Process Camber lists The Channel. These are manufacturer identity fields, not instructions to adapt hardware. Confirm the actual board version and binding package rather than inferring applicability from a similar-looking deck. Both product pages list30% short-glass/nylon composite in their baseplate-material field; that shared material description does not remove the different mounting restrictions.
| Field | Cartel Re:Flex 105391 | Cartel EST 105551 |
|---|---|---|
| Manufacturer mounting field | Re:Flex | EST |
| Baseplate material listed | 30% short-glass/nylon composite | 30% short-glass/nylon composite |
| Documented restriction | Appropriate disc required for actual system | Channel boards only |
| 3D accessory condition | 3D Hinge Disc required and not included | Not an option for 3D boards |
| 4X2 board enquiry | Confirm correct supplied disc with manufacturer/retailer | Exclude EST for this interface |
| Prices and extra-part cost | Not verified; do not enter zero | Not verified; do not enter zero |
Keep the boot question separate
Board-to-binding format is one part of the enquiry; the exact boot and binding sizing information are another. The red ThirtyTwo boot and Jones Mercury photograph is a real FASE-system example, clearly different from the Burton models in the table. It cannot establish that a different boot, size or closure system works with your chosen binding. Record the full boot reference and ask the supplier which current model-specific information applies. A generic binding size letter or an outside photograph cannot complete that assessment. Keep any fitting advice and the confirmed component identities together. This article supplies no boot-overhang formula, mounting angle, tightening value or adjustment procedure.
Resolve the package before comparing the total
Ask what the exact binding package includes and which additional manufacturer-specified parts, if any, are needed for the documented board. The Re:Flex 3D-disc exclusion is a real example of a condition that can change the purchase, but its price has not been verified here and is not entered as zero. Keep component and qualified-service quotes on separate lines so that two offers are not assumed equivalent. Retain the supplier's written answer if a description is incomplete or contradictory. The aim is to resolve the interface before paying for the wrong variant, without presenting an online comparison as an assessment of hardware condition or a substitute for applicable service instructions.

A clear enquiry names every component
The Mount Buller photograph shows a board and bindings together, which is useful context for a complete equipment record but not a template to copy. Give the retailer the actual board reference and year, the proposed binding model and version, the boot identity and the unresolved accessory question. For these two named Cartel choices, the immediate filter is the documented mounting format: EST is Channel-only; Re:Flex requires the appropriate disc and the stated3D accessory where applicable. Ask for confirmation of the complete package and applicable fitting or service process. Preserve those answers with the receipt and instructions. No current price, stock, personal suitability or on-snow performance result is claimed for the compared products.
