Two real three-day ski packages, with the limits visible

For the published 2026 three-day schedules checked on 28 October 2026, Rhythm's Basic First Timer ski package is AUD 115 and Jindy Snow's Carve ski, boot and pole package is AUD 100. Adding each provider's separately listed three-day helmet charge of AUD 25 gives AUD 140 and AUD 125 respectively: a difference of AUD 15 for those listed items. Both component lists include skis, boots and poles, but their named grades are not a promise of identical models or condition. Neither provider guarantees an exact equipment model in the reviewed tariff. These are actual published schedules, not fictional quotes or confirmation of 2027 prices or a booking for your dates. Jindy currently says pickup is by appointment, so contact the provider before arranging collection.

What the rates actually include

The table compares the same listed period and component scope. Rhythm's one/two/three-day basic entries are AUD 60/90/115; Jindy's carve entries are AUD 60/85/100. A multi-day package is therefore not simply the one-day charge multiplied by days. Keep clothing, goggles, gloves and other needs separate. As another provider-specific illustration, Perisher's April 2026 FAQ lists ski packages as skis, boots and poles, while snowboard packages contain a board and boots; it excludes goggle and glove rental. Our October check found its rental-shop URL redirected to a season-end page, so no current Perisher booking rate is claimed. Confirm the actual supplier's package for your period instead of moving inclusions between providers.

Collection and return can change the practical choice

Rhythm's published terms allow previous-day collection after13:00 and require return by 11:00 the following day; early return receives no refund. Its booking-site confirmation text instead says collection from 16:00. That is a real source conflict: obtain the applicable time in the booking confirmation rather than assuming the earlier hour. Jindy defines the start/end dates as the first/last day on snow and allows collection the previous afternoon/evening and return the following morning, without publishing exact hours there. Its booking page states that since 24 September 2026 pickup is by appointment. Jindy lists no deposit today and full payment on arrival. Equipment model allocation, a servicing interval and unlisted damage or late-return charges remain unconfirmed in this comparison; unknown does not mean free.

Payment, cancellation and the still-unconfirmed charges

Jindy’s booking page explicitly states no deposit today and full payment on arrival. That is an observed payment arrangement, not a statement that the rental is free. Rhythm’s online-prepaid cancellation wording describes a voucher for the full paid value, valid for three years, rather than an automatic cash refund; its published early-return condition gives no refund. Jindy’s early-return refund rule was not established from the reviewed pages. Neither reviewed tariff guarantees an exact issued model or a servicing interval. Unlisted damage, late-return or special collection charges are unknown here and must not be entered as zero. These differences can change which provider merits a booking enquiry even when the listed three-day equipment charge is lower. Keep the actual written provider response with the dates and quote.

Choose the actual enquiry, then confirm a booking

For the specified three-day ski/boot/pole package, the two published equipment charges differ by AUD 15: Rhythm AUD 115 versus Jindy AUD 100. Adding each provider’s separately listed AUD 25 helmet keeps the difference at AUD 15, with totals AUD 140 and AUD 125. The named grades are not established as identical equipment, fit, condition or service. A reader prioritising the lower listed package amount has a different starting point from one prioritising a particular supplier, allocated equipment or workable collection arrangement. Contact the provider directly to resolve those conditions and the appointment requirement. Do not assume an offseason published 2026 schedule is a confirmed 2027booking, a current open counter or guaranteed inventory. The Swedish rack, archived ski-and-boot pair and Mount Buller snowboard illustrate actual equipment components, not either provider’s current stock. This article compares hire suppliers and does not claim to resolve the separately unfinished buy-versus-hire ownership question.
